Die Welt ist in der Krise und Großbritannien tut nichts dagegen. 20 Jahre nach dem Mauerfall wollen wir mit der Austellung "Britain's Rubbish, let's all move to Berlin" an dieses große Ereignis erinnern. Berlin soll mit einer Invasion von über 100 internationalen Künstlern überrollt werden.

Die Künstler: Bob & Roberta Smith, Cake & Neave, Darren Coffield, Franko B, Gavin Turk, Gideon Cube-Sherman, Gilbert & George, Harry Pye, Louise Camrass, Laura Oldfield Ford, Mark Hammond, Mark McGowan, Stephen Gill, Simon Ould und viele andere mehr. Viele dieser Künstler sind für ihren satirischem Blick auf GB bekannt und wollen mit ihrer Kunst hervorheben, dass GB "shit" ist. Unter den Künstlern befinden sich drei Turner-Prize Kandidaten und ein Turner-Prize Träger.

Nach der Eröffnung folgt eine große After Show Party: ASPHALT HANDBAG!

Auf der Party wird es Live-Musik, DJs und VJs geben und eine riesige Skulptur soll installiert werden. Die Party findet in der Yorckstrasse 24 statt, in einem ehemaligen Fabrikgebäude (nahe Moove - Möbelhaus) nicht weit von die Galerie. Live Performances werden für Überraschungen sorgen.

The world is in crisis. and Britain is not helping. To mark 20 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall, we present this exhibition with the theme 'Britain's Rubbish Let's All Move to Berlin'. We will mount an invasion of Berlin showing works by over 100 international artists.


Artists include Bob & Roberta Smith, Cake & Neave, Darren Coffield, Franko B, Gavin Turk, Gideon Cube-Sherman, Gilbert & George, Harry Pye, Louise Camrass, Laura Oldfield Ford, Mark Hammond, Mark McGowan, Stephen Gill, Simon Ould and many others. Many of these artists are well versed in satirising our nation and often play an important role in highlighting why Britain is Shit. They include three Turner Prize nominees and one Turner Prize winner.

with a huge after show party ASPHALT HANDBAG!

The opening event will conclude with a huge party of live music, performance, DJs, VJs and large-scale sculpture at Yorckstrasse 24, a vast warehouse-style venue not far from the gallery. The all-night party will feature some of the best known club acts in Berlin today and some live acts brought over from Britain including Private Lives, and more acts To Be Announced.
